Why I'm excited about PageCloud's SaaS website hosting platform

Dec 19, 2015 6:50:00 PM / by Vu Long Tran

I just signed up for PageCloud, a SaaS website host with an advanced web editor. They're launching in the Fall of 2015.

So you might be wondering, I have a website already, so why did I sign up for PageCloud?

Well, I'm excited. Now I'm really excited. I have been blogging and building websites for years, and while I know HTML, CSS and Javascript (I have an IT degree) - website building is not always fun and could do with some more timesaving measures to allow you to focus on the design of your website, not so much only the code.

There's always so many considerations around managing the content, working on the way you want to present the data, so it's a process that can take time, when most of the time I want to just share my stories (I moved from back from WordPress to Blogger after just migrating it over from Blogger to WordPress for this reason as well - yes, long story).
So I found out about PageCloud through a friend of mine. He mentioned that there is this company doing some pretty cool things when it comes to web design, I should check it out. Seeing that he's in web development and well, I'm in IT market research, I went to check it out.

I watched the video from TechCrunch Disrupt (video below) and was hooked...

Recently I have been looking for a way to get more social engagement and interactions with my visitors on my website, this website. But it's tricky going through all the HTML, CSS and with Google no longer really developing Blogger.com (BlogSpot), I wanted to try another tool to make it happen (WordPress…).

Back to PageCloud though, one of the key things I like about it is it's fundamental approach to website development. They have designed it so you don't need to code!

You basically can design and build your website:

  • Straight from Photoshop to the Web
  • Drag and Drop. Actually, though.
  • Turn your browser into a blank canvas.
  • Technology that fades away so your content takes the spotlight
  • The fastest, simplest solution for mobile site creation

That's pretty much enough to get me excited and wanting to try out their tool. Please feel free to check out PageCloud. They have officially launched on November 30th 2015.
