Reliving the memories...

Today I relived the memories of the fun times I had many years ago at Luna Park, although this time I arrive back with another community group. This time it was with the EYC (Ethic Youth Council) and the bunch of great young people who went camping with me the other weekend.

Anyways, I wanted to briefly share my story at Luna Park, for those who missed out on me telling it to those at the Australia Day breakfast (and of course for those who just want to read about it all again).

It was basically a time when I was young and experienced a great and fun day in my childhood, one that will be a memory that will stay on with me forever. I was 7 or 8 then, at Luna Park where there were rides, food, drinking and just hanging out with a bunch of other fellow kids. I still remember the creepy skeleton from the scary ghost ride that tapped one of the kids on the shoulder and frightened him like no tomorrow on the cart... It was no doubt an experience that I will cherish and remember forever, and I have...

What made the experience really special, and no doubt, it is something that has helped lead and motivate me to where I am in my volunteering initiatives is that it was run by the Lions Club, and so, I have always wanted to help recreate and share that experience with others. Coincidently the YMCA was there at the same time organising such a day for bushfire affected kids.

Now, the challenge or goal that I would like you to think about is whether you believe that you too could create an opportunity for others that they could cherish for a lifetime, as I know there is always something no matter how small it may seem at the time that will always help to inspire and influence the lives of those around us...as someone did for me...
